Jeffrey Goldberg is the The New Yorker’s former Middle East Correspondent. His new memoir is Prisoners: A Muslim & A Jew Across the Middle East Divide. Goldberg won the National Magazine Award for Reporting in 2003 for his coverage of terrorism. He discusses his time at a Palenstinian prison as a Jewish “guard” and his friendship with a Fatwa leader. A wonderfully scary conversation on Fresh Air that humanizes both sides.
