Sounds like you are there: Logitech X-540
Rachel and I just purchased a Logitech X-540 5.1 speaker system from Amazon.com. Rachel originally sent me to the store to buy her computer speakers. Well, I looked around and picked one out for $30 from Fry’s Electronics. It was a 20 watt system with 2 speakers and a sub-woofer. I then found the Logitech X-540 on sale on Amazon for $12 more. That is with a rebate. The original price was was close to $60 which is $40 less than the price at Fry’s.
I recommend this system for anybody that wants to spend less than $200 for a 5.1 system and wants to directly plug speakers into their computer. We hardly ever watch TV and we use my computer for watching DVDs from the library, so this system is perfect. And for less than $50!
